HTC won’t meet the 90-day update goal for the One M8 and M7

HTC won’t meet the 90-day update goal for the One M8 and M7

HTC aims to keep its users happy by offering quicker updates and more transparency. This is why they have set a 90-day goal for updating their latest devices (the count starts after Google releases the code). It seems this goal is not set in a very hard place, though, as they won’t be able to bring Lollipop to some carrier versions of the HTC One M8 and M7.
The 90-day period was set to end on February 1st, which is this weekend. They blame this on Google’s faulty code, which they seem to have been having some problems with. No ETA is given either, but let’s hope they get to finishing this update fast enough.
Opinion: Even if I am bearing bad news, I am glad to see HTC taking the right approach with this. They have admitted that they won’t make the goal and are being honest about it. I can always appreciate an honest manufacturer.
