OnePlus introduces OxygenOS to the world
OnePlus and Cyanogen had an awesome time together, but legal reasons and businessproved that the Chinese manufacturer was better off working on its own software. They have been working on it for a while and now they are ready to introduce it to the world. Well, at least the name.
OnePlus’ software UI skin is to be named OxygenOS, a name that is said to represent what the ROM stands for. Oxygen, as an element, is clean, simple and very flexible. Likewise, OxygenOS is made with openness, customization, and simplicity in mind.
We don’t know much else about the actual ROM, but OnePlus will tell us more about it come February 12th.
Opinion: I can only hope that they keep their promises, which OnePlus has actually been very good at. Despite the fact that no one believed they could launch such an amazing product at such a low price.
